About Wayne

Wayne joined Shadi full time as of July 2022, taking over the maintenance side of the business. Wayne’s role will extend to property maintenance, some inspections, doing healthy home reports or organising remedial work, minor maintenance repairs, and project management that involve partial or full renovations.

Wayne left a 9 ½ year work tenure, working as operations manager for an engineering company here in Auckland to be with Let’s Rent full time. His background is impressive with plethora of experiences, talents, and skills; to name a few he has represented NZ at six Olympic Distance Triathlon world championships. Completed 22 Ironman Triathlon finishes around the globe, including 4 Kona Hawaii Ironman World championship finishes.

A mechanic by trade, he then spent 12 years in the fitness industry & co-owned a gym in Hamilton. Followed by 15 years in hands on property development, a business interest in a rest home in Opotiki, partnership in a solid surface bench-top manufacturing business. He also obtained a commercial helicopter pilot rating in 2007 and co-owned a helicopter flight school in the Waikato – so property management should be a breeze.

Clients of Let’s Rent will benefit from having hands on, experienced and all-rounder knowledgeable person who can identify technical issues when it comes to either mechanical, operations such as faulty appliance, or building defects.

Not only will Wayne nurture current relationships with long term tradespeople, his presence will also give clients peace of mind as he will make sure quality workmanship is practiced and prices charged to clients are competitive rates.
